I'm actually quite intrigued by this fashion trend because:

1. I LOVE Victorian/pirate styles.
2. It's so whimsical and fun!

At first I was like "What the hell is steampunk??" And then I looked up some images and was like, "OH! Kinda like in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen or Treasure Planet! I like this."



So as I mentioned in my journal about my Otakon cosplay plans for next year I've decided that my third outfit will be a steampunk one. I hope to make my own jewelry and other accessories. I'd love to make some kind of gun or other weapon, but I don't know if I'll have time for that. And if I could make a bustle it would be like WHOA! So cool!

I'm pretty excited about this if it is not already apparent.



If anyone finds any neat-o photos of girls' steampunk styles send 'em my way! I'm gathering ideas, hehe.
